My story
A longer account of where I’ve been and what has shaped me — written for family and for anyone who wants the fuller picture.

Beginnings
Childhood in Huntington with Isadore J. and Eva Louise Weible, a neighborhood full of boys my age, hide and go seek on summer nights, the swimming pool, our boat, and summers at Dale Hollow Reservoir.
Growing up
Huntington East High School (1970), Marshall interrupted by two years as a Mormon missionary in the California Central Mission (1971–1973), then back to finish my bachelor’s in 1977.
Family
Father of eight, stepfather of two, twelve grandchildren — a very large, happy family. Households linked from the family members page include Adam, Mary, Sam, Ben, Abby, Hiram, Hilary, Emily, and Ian.
Work and calling
Field artillery as a second lieutenant at Fort Sill; selling computers for NCR across southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia; MBA (1983) and DBA from Mississippi State (1993); four decades as a professor of Management Information Systems, now emeritus at Marshall.
Today
Living on a tropical island in Thailand with Hilary since May 16th, 2026. Cross-link to current activities for travel and what fills the days now.
